I
MADE IT ACROSS! I certainly won't be missing the dusty dirt roads. But you have to take the good with
the bad. If there were superhighways everywhere the natural
beauty would certainly not be as pristine. The fascinating
and distinctive indigenous groups, each with their unique
garb and crafts, would certainly be more homogenized. Ok,
so we like the dirt roads...but we could do without some
of the bumps. |

AT THE
BORDER I met another solitary road soldier. On a custom-made
motorcycle and on a much more ambitious adventure than mine.
His is probably much more than five times the length of
my Tucson to Tierra del Fuego route... |
